Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 2, 2026

This policy explains what information Perimenopause Clarity collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

1. Who we are

Perimenopause Clarity is operated by Naturebeings AS, Norwegian organisation number 925 428 000, with its business address at c/o Ellen Sofie Øgaard, Elgfaret 40, 1415 Oppegård, Norway. Perimenopause Clarity is presented under the Well Held Studio brand, and Naturebeings AS is the business responsible for it. You can reach us about privacy at ellen@naturebeings.co. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Waitlist sign-ups — if you join the launch waitlist, your email address, which form you used and when you joined. You do not need an account to join.
  • Account details — your email address, any name or display name you provide, and the authentication records needed to keep your account secure.
  • Optional onboarding context — the age, cycle stage, health goals, and notes you choose to add to your profile. You can leave these blank.
  • Daily check-in entries — the symptom ratings, overall impact, sleep, mood, energy, pain, and bleeding or cycle information you record each day, the context tags you select, any treatment or medication change you note, and any short notes you add.
  • Weekly reflections — the notes you write about what felt most disruptive, what changed, and what you would like help with, and the treatments or remedies you log for that week.
  • Questions you write down — including questions you save to raise with a clinician.
  • Doctor-report settings and reports — the report options and questions you choose, and the print-friendly report snapshots you generate.
  • Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription or free trial, the plan, renewal dates and Paddle’s references for your subscription, so we can give you access and administer it.
  • Support communications — the messages you send us, such as feedback or a refund request, and our replies.
  • Technical and session data — the information needed to operate the service, such as session and authentication records, security and logging data, and basic device or usage information.

We do not collect payment-card details. Where a payment is taken, card details are entered directly with the payment provider.

3. Health and wellbeing information

Many of the entries you record — symptoms, sleep, mood, energy, pain, bleeding and cycle changes, and the reflections built from them — may concern your health and wellbeing. Where the law treats this as a special category of personal data, we treat it as sensitive personal data. We rely on your explicit consent. Before your first entry, the app asks you to agree, and we record when you agreed and to which version of the wording. Nothing is saved until you have agreed. You can withdraw your consent at any time on your Profile page; withdrawing deletes your check-ins, reflections and reports. You can also delete your whole account.

Perimenopause Clarity is not a medical record, is not a medical service, and is not an AI medical service. It does not diagnose, recommend treatment, interpret lab results, or give clinical advice. It stores your own observations so the app can show them back to you and build your patterns and reports. See our Medical Disclaimer.

4. How we use it and our legal bases

  • To email you once when Perimenopause Clarity opens, if you joined the waitlist. We rely on your request to be told, and we don’t use the address for anything else.
  • To provide the app and let you sign in.
  • To save and display your own observations back to you, and to calculate the non-diagnostic summaries and pattern views shown in the app.
  • To generate the print-friendly report you build from your own entries.
  • To send the weekly reminder email (you can turn it off on your Profile), to include new Knowledge Hub articles in it if you choose to turn that on, and to provide support when you contact us.
  • To administer your subscription, free trial, cancellations and refunds, together with our reseller Paddle.
  • To keep the service working, safe, and free of abuse.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

We ask only for the information these purposes need. Recording your health entries is optional, and you can leave optional fields blank or delete entries at any time.

Depending on where you live, we rely on your consent, on the performance of our agreement with you, on our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, and on our legal obligations.

5. Who processes your information

The app is built and hosted using Base44. The platform provider’s official materials identify Base44, Inc. in the Base44 Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum, and Wix.com Ltd. (Israel) in Exhibit C to the Base44 DPA, as operating the Base44-branded service. Those disclosures are the platform provider’s and may change, so we link to them rather than restating them. You can read Base44’s Privacy Policy and its Data Processing Addendum.

Naturebeings AS is the controller of your information and remains your contracting party. Base44 and Wix.com Ltd. act as our service providers; they are not your contracting party, and Naturebeings AS is not part of Wix.com Ltd.

Our service-provider chain may include the sub-processors listed by Base44 at the time of writing, with the following roles:

  • Mongo (United States) — data storage and hosting.
  • SendGrid (United States) — email transmission and external communication.
  • Render (United States) — server services.
  • Google Cloud (United States) — analytics services.
  • OpenAI (United States) — API calls to large language models.
  • Anthropic (United States) — API calls to large language models.
  • Wix.com Ltd. (Israel) — providing and improving the services.
  • Supabase (United States) — media hosting.
  • DataDog (United States) — general logging.

Waitlist sign-ups are handled differently: the email addresses are stored in our own database at Supabase, Inc., in its European region (Frankfurt, Germany), and are not stored on the Base44 platform.

This list may change. Base44 publishes the current list of its sub-processors, and you can review it at base44.com/dpa/exhibitc.

6. Payments

Subscriptions are sold by our online reseller Paddle.com (Paddle.com Market Ltd, United Kingdom), which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. When you subscribe, Paddle collects the information it needs to take payment, handle VAT and send receipts, such as your name, email address, country and payment details. Paddle processes this as its own controller under its privacy notice. We receive the status of your subscription and Paddle’s references for it, and we record that against your account. We never see or store your card details.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use the storage needed to keep you signed in and the app working. Based on our current audit, we do not use non-essential analytics or advertising tools in the app. Necessary authentication, security, hosting, logging, and session storage may still be used by the platform that runs the service.

This describes the app as currently configured. If we add non-essential tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside your country, including in the United States and Israel. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards described by our platform provider, which include standard contractual clauses and/or an adequacy mechanism where applicable. We do not promise that your information is stored in any particular country.

9. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist email addresses until we have told you about the launch, and delete them within three months after that unless you have created an account. You can ask us to remove your address at any time by emailing us.

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy — including security, meeting our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing our rights.

When you delete your account, your production data is deleted without undue delay where feasible. Some records may be kept where the law requires it, and copies may remain in our platform provider’s backups and retention cycles until they are deleted or overwritten under those cycles. We do not set a fixed number of days.

10. Your rights and choices

  • You can view and correct your entries inside the app at any time.
  • You can delete your account and its records from your profile.
  • You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it.
  • You can withdraw your consent for health information on your Profile page. This deletes your check-ins, reflections and reports.
  • You can complain to your local data protection authority. To reach us about any of these rights, email ellen@naturebeings.co.

11. Security and breaches

Access to your entries is restricted to your account. We use access controls and encrypted connections, and we limit who inside our organisation can reach production systems. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the relevant authority where we are required to. Security contact: ellen@naturebeings.co.

12. Children

The service is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below the age at which they can consent to this kind of processing in their country. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.

13. Not a medical record

Perimenopause Clarity is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical record, and it does not diagnose, explain causes, or recommend treatment. See our Medical Disclaimer.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make a significant change we will make it clear in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we will update the effective date above.
